IMMEDIATE FOSTER NEED IN THE MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA AREA! Meet Tildy. She is a 3-month-old, 9 pound mixed breed island puppy, commonly referred to as a Potcake dog, of the Fly To Freedom Dog Rescue. A volunteer with the organization flew her in cabin on Tuesday March 9 from St Martin to Minneapolis where a foster parent picked her up at the airport and took her home to foster while the organization promoted her to find a forever family. In short, Tildy became sick quickly when she arrived to Minneapolis and had to be hospitalized. She tested positive for parvo and was admitted to the South Metro Animal Emergency Care hospital in Apple Valley, Minnesota, on Friday March 11 and she has been under care since. Tildy is responding and doing well and as of 1:00 pm ET, the vet believes she will make a full recovery. But we URGENT help is needed. The foster parent bailed on Fly To Freedom Dog Rescue and has abandoned the pup and will no longer help with picking her up from the hospital or fostering her. So now we have a very urgent need to locate a foster family in Minnesota to help who can take TiLdy in once she is ready to go home which could be Monday March 13 OR Tuesday March 14.
