About MERVIN

Mervin came to us from Arizona Humane Society where he was at risk due to being scared and a little bit skinny. Since coming into rescue he has been nothing but a perfect gentleman. Sweet and loving to humans and nice with other dogs even dogs much bigger than him. He walks well on a leash and is doing ok on the potty routine. Mervin does great in a crate. He does not need to be crated but he uses his crate as his personal space and you can find him sleeping in it (or on it) when he is tired and in need of a nap. He is a cuddler and loves sleeping in bed with his human, though definitely seems to prefer males as he chose his 'dad' as his person right away. Mervin is a very active and playful dog that loves tug-of-war or playing keep away with his play buddies at his foster's house. Mervin would not work well in an apartment as he tends to be quite vocal, especially during play time or when he is trying to initiate play.
