About Natasha

Adoption Fee: $200
Rat Terrier
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Do you have a big dog who needs a spunky friend for rough-and-tumble play? Or a barn that needs rodent control? Maybe a mountain lion problem? Well, Natasha can help (with the first two, at least)! This gorgeous girl has the size, strength, physical beauty, and temperament that are associated with Decker rat terriers. At just 8 months old, she is already 25 lbs. That's right, Deckers are much larger than your typical rat terrier, but they are just as much fun! Natasha loves to meet new people and enjoys giving kisses to complete strangers. Although she likes children, she doesn't yet understand how strong she is, and she accidentally knocks over toddlers with her exuberant affection. Natasha is pretty good with house-training, provided she is kept on a schedule. When she can't be supervised, Natasha will reluctantly sit in her crate (but she doesn't like it). She would much rather snuggle next to a person on the couch during downtime. But playtime is her absolute favorite! She very much enjoys roughhousing with the big dogs in her foster home, and she'll run, wrestle, and romp for hours, no matter the weather! Natasha has a very strong prey drive and cannot be around cats or very small dogs. She enjoys car rides and loves to smell out the car window. Natasha also likes walks on leash but needs a bit of training to limit her pulling (she's just so excited!). Natasha would do well with an active family who will give her the attention and exercise she needs to be her best self.
