About Cain

Are you ready to raise some Cain?! Then meet the newest Dane to MHCR, whose heart is as big as his giant blockhead! Cain is a 4-year-old, Great Dane looking for a home that will let him hold down the couch and live out his fantasy of being a lap dog. (Those who think 150 lbs exceeds 'lap dog' status need not apply). Cain is housebroken and crate trained and is working on the manners required to be a good roommate. He's a bit underweight right now and will polish off 5 cups of dog food before you can say bon appetit (and for goodness sake, keep your fingers out of the way)! His favorite activities include keeping your counters clear of food & crumbs, seeing how many toys he can fit in his mouth at once (current record is 5) and decorating your walls with abstract art made of drool. While he doesn't require a huge yard or insanely active lifestyle, Cain's ideal home would be with humans who have giant breed experience, no small kids, and no cats, please. He would thrive with someone willing to commit to giving him a structured life - he's smart & eager to please but needs a person with a heart as big as his. Cain is in foster in Erie and his adoption fee is $400. He's good with other dog friends with a particular liking of the ladies.
