About Rain

Adoption Fee: $400
Australian Cattle Dog mix
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Male

This is Rain, a Cattledog mix pup who was born in August, 2021. He should be within breed standard when he is done growing (35-45 pounds). Rain knows a lot already: Let's go, inside, this way, stay, and down. He is crate trained and potty trained. He is working on leash training and already rides nicely in the car. He listens well and likes to learn. Rain has been good with the adults he has met. He hasn't met any kids, so we think only older kids for Rain's new home. He can be a bit shy at first and likes people to let him take his time to say hello. Click on the red YouTube button to watch Rain as he gets used to being on a walk in a big store. Rain lives with a few dogs and has been nice with them. He isn't that into playing with others so could be good as an only dog or with another polite dog Rain is a higher energy guy who needs an active home. He loves to play fetch with a squeaky ball. He sometimes amuses himself by lining up various toys and then dancing about with them. He would be wonderful as a running partner, camping or hiking partner, and sidekick for someone who is with their dogs more than not. He will blossom in a quieter environment and likely isn't a busy city kind of pup. He won't be happy at dog parks of sitting on a restaurant patio. Busy neighborhoods with lots of cars will unsettle him. However, a more quiet environment with a yard, plenty of nature, will have him blossoming into a total best friend. Rain's foster mom says that he has a sense of humor. She says that he is extra special and absolutely best friend material. He will benefit from a quieter home environment and a non-city lifestyle with someone who can keep him busy and knows how to help a sensitive guy feel confident. Rain is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. He is located in SoCal. Adopters must be able to meet and adopt here. We do not ship our dogs. A home visit and vet reference are required.
