This stray was found in my yard on the morning of Jan 1st. When i first approached her I immediately noticed that she seems to have had a litter of puppies within the past 3 months. I have no idea where they are and she never tried to lead me anywhere. I put her in my fence and gave her shelter/food/water. She's very friendly with me and is also very shy. She has scars on her head and neck, i suspect that she was used as bait for dog fights. That being said, she growled and barked at my dog and even lunged at him through the other side of the fence today, so i'm not able to keep her. I'm not in any financial position to keep another dog and on top of that, I have no idea how to rehab an abused dog. My hope for her is to go with somebody who has experience in rehabbing abused dogs so that she can live a happy life. If I could provide that for her I would. If nobody is able to take her soon I will be forced to bring her to an animal shelter. There is an adoption fee to ensure that she will go to a good home and not be put into any more fights.
