About HURRICANE

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BEFORE YOU RESPOND. HURRICANE and his brother TORNADO were saved from the shelter. They were so sick and malnourished. And because they were so sick, they were grouchy! Now HURRICANE is ready for adoption. HURRICANE and TORNADO have been together since we rescued them. And we would love to see them go home together. But. they will do ok separately. HURRICANE always looks grouchy. He might even hiss. But he is a very sweet boy. He loves to play in boxes and tunnels. He will allow you to carry him around and even accepts kisses! In the right home, he will flourish into a confident, stunning cat. He will need a kitty buddy at home because he loves to play!! HURRICANE is a DOMESTIC LONG HAIR / MAINECOON MIX. He is about 9 months old and is good with cats and non-reactive to dogs. In his foster home and at Petsmart, he was around other kittens and older cats. He has never been around children. HURRICANE is currently located at PETSMART in Palm Desert, CA off Monterey Avenue. JUNE 2022: With all the needed social distancing, we are still doing adoptions. VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to let you meet the kitty. Not PETSMART employees. Volunteers are usually at Petsmart between 9 - 10 am to 12 pm - 1 pm. Please note that it is totally up to the volunteers if they are comfortable with allowing you in the cattery. (COVID). Steps 1-5 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Request Online Application 2. Fill Out Online Form 3. Submit Online Application 4. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview 5. Will be notified of Approved Application 6. Official Meet and Greet with Kitty 7. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED) 8. Sign Adoption Contract 9. Pay Adoption Fee (VENMO - ZELLE - PAYPAL or CASH) 10. Meet and greets will take place at the Petsmart location where the cat/kitten is currently located at. The cats/kittens at a foster/rescue home, we will do meet and greets at any of the 3 Petsmart locations listed below. Gas donations always appreciated! It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets. Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption. We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. The adoption fee of $250 covers: Neuter FVRCP shots RABIES shot FELV/FIV test (Negative/Negative) Drontal Dewormer Stronghold Flea Control Microchip We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens.
