Trex owner is a foster parent (for humans) and at some point Trex was not treated kindly by one of these kids. Since then, he has become increasingly growly and has snapped but has never bit. He is also now reactive to quick movements and scared of loud noises. His owners (and we agree) believe that it is in the best interest for everyone (Trex included) that he find a new home to lay his head. We feel Trex would do best in a home with older calm children or no children at all. He is a young herding breed so an active home with a secure fence would also be best. He does love running in the country and has been around horses; so a county home could also be a good fit. Trex has (and does) live with dogs. But he DOES need a proper intro. Throwing him into a yard with several dogs within 5 minutes will likely not work well (or with any dog really). Submissive females would be an easier fit. Trex also lives with a cat and is fine, but if the kids accidentally let him out he has a good ole time chasing the neighborhood cats. He has never harmed anyone/anything. We believe Trex dad to be a Border Collie/Aussie mix. We also see Corgi in him. Trex is an incredibly sweet and well tempered dog. He loves couch time and loves to snuggle. He also knows some commands and tricks. He has definitely been worked with and loved. This is an extremely difficult decision for his family. https://petlover.petstablished.com/pets/public/1270878?awo=High+Plains+PAW&widget=false
