About Hershey

Hershey is a super sweet girl! We think she's an Italian Greyhound/Chihuahua mix. She's 2 years old and weighs 23 pounds. She is underweight and needs to gain around 5 pounds. She is nervous and shy initially, but bonds and comes out of her shell fairly quickly. When her tail wags, it's not just the tail! Her whole rear end wiggles! Since she is timid to start with, her new family will need to be patient with her. If patient, Hershey shows her silly and playful side. She is a bit hand-shy, so only respectful older kids for her. She has not been cat tested, but we suspect she'd be fine as she doesn't want to chase rabbits/squirrels on walks. She would be good as an only dog or with another playful dog her size. She is a little intimidated by larger dogs. She is crate trained and potty trained. She would benefit from an obedience class to gain some confidence and manners. She pulls on the leash when walking and does get nervous when loud noises, cars, or dogs go by. Hershey is spayed, utd on vaccs and chipped.
