We got Winnie 3 and a half months ago from Nashville humane. She is 11 months (a year old in about a week!) and some sort of Shepard mix. Immediately, we realized she has food aggression (we have two other pups ages 6 and 5). From day one, she has had to be fed in her crate out of the safety for all. Later, she began to get territorial over our food, but my oldest dog put her in her place. We went back & fourth trying to decide if we wanted to deal with her aggression. Ultimately, we decided we would. However, she has always been a Houdini. Again, something we thought we could deal with.. until today. All 3 times we let her outside she hopped over the fence. We live on a main road and across from the railroad tracks. After almost witnessing her being hit by a truck, I couldn't stand the thought of being the reason she got hurt. Now that all the negatives are out of the way, she truly is a great pup! She LOVES other dogs (again, when food isn't involved) so she definitely needs a home that will allow her to be social. She's a big time digger, loves toys, belly rubs, and jumping in the bath tub to lick the left over water (but not actually taking baths). She's about 98% potty trained (hasn't had an accident in a month but I'm still cautious) and is fully crate trained. We both work, so she's used to being in a crate for 8 and a half hours a day, as well as overnight. With how much time she was in a crate, she definitely needed play/exercise at night to get all the energy out. As for size, she's between 50-60 pounds and I don't think she'll grow anymore.
