About Fritz

Fritz is a four to five year old Standard Aussie. He is about 60-65 pounds. We believe he is a Double Merle. His hearing is fine but we have determined he does have some limited vision. His pupils are set lower in his eye and this affects how much he can see. He sees things below his muzzle. Because of this he seems to do better with dogs his size and not smaller dogs or cats. He can be slow to get accustomed to a new dog. Once he is comfortable he loves them and is very playful. He might do well as an only dog but can also have a play partner if he's given plenty of time to get comfortable. He would love to be adopted with his best friend Gil. He's a typical Aussie who is rambunctious and happy. He will need a family committed to giving him an active lifestyle that doesn't have young children or grandchildren. He will need a family who understands Aussies or herding breed dogs and is willing to work with positive reinforcement to help him improve his basic obedience.
