Please know that we will ask for a vet reference. Nellie is a sweet girl who was rescued from a puppy mill/hoarding situation. She is now in need of a new home that will show her what love and comfort are all about. Does anyone have room for this sweet baby?! Name: Nellie Age: 5 years old Breed: Pitbull Sex: Female (spayed) Location: Hamilton County, TN Vet Info: According to her foster, Nellie is up to date with vaccines but has not had a heartworm test (negative). She is spayed. She was rescued from a puppy mill/hoarding situation. Her foster reports that Nellie became blind from blunt force trauma. She is also missing her front teeth from the blunt force trauma. Nellie weighs 50 pounds. Dog Info: She is an outdoor dog. Due to the situation she came from, she is not yet housebroken or leash trained. She is nervous and a bit shy. So far she has been good with women and other dogs and cats. 'She did snap at a pregnant dog but that was when the rescue was taking place. Since she has been with her foster, she has been completely fine.' She is not possessive of treats, toys or food. Her foster wants us to know, 'She came from a HORRIBLE place in Alabama. We were notified about it and got 25 out one week and the rest (her included) the following week. She is sweet, but obviously after being treated the way she was and becoming blind from the hands of a man she is slow to trust.' **Owner Surrender Disclaimer: These are blind and visually impaired dogs who are living in homes, but their owners can no longer keep them.
