About Aliza

Pit Bull mix
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Hi! You've probably seen my photo a time or two if you follow our rescue. And I'm sure you've asked yourself- why is Aliza still there? I can answer that. Where to start'| I'm 7 years old and a Bully mix. That's breed and age not working in my favor. I also was a bait dog so I have lots of scars, making others more appealing. Being a bait dog also makes me reactive in off leash, uncontrolled environments. I do best when my human has control and everyone's on a leash. Then I feel safe and am great walking with other dogs or just hanging out. Since I've been in foster care, I was diagnosed with a rare skin disease and am immune to medications to treat it! I got super depressed while trying to treat it, and it didn't treat it because of my immunity. My foster mama knew my happiness out weighed the medicine. I'm in no pain, but do have some missing hair. This may all sound like 'way too much' in a rescue dog, but everyone who meets me says I'm worth it. Now here's why I'm worth it- I LOVE kids. Like love them. They're amazing and I'm so gentle with them. I'm house and crate trained, but am so well behaved that I can just be left out. Car rides are a favorite of mine. I love sitting shotgun with my head out the window. I'm fully vetted and centrally located in Harrisburg, PA We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $300 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs. Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $350 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate. We are an all volunteer organization and we are always looking for more help. Learn more about adopting from us or volunteering for us at www.pack9rescue.org or check us out on Facebook for more information and a complete list of dogs available for adoption.
