About Blue

Blue is a beautiful, young male who is what we call a 'pocket pittie,' weighing in at only 45 lbs. Blue was rescued from a Texas kill shelter who tried to euthanize him for being 'too excited' when shelter staff would walk up to his kennel. Blue is energetic and very social. He thrives off of human companionship. Being left in a kennel all day with limited human interaction only made him that much more eager to be around people. Blue is a very energetic and very active dog. He will thrive best in an active household where he can get plenty of exercise and canine enrichment. Blue does well with other dogs that match his energy and play style. Blue is currently in boarding. Here is what the boarding director says about him: 'Meet handsome Blue! Blue is a 2yo, 45 lb, pittie mix. Blue is incredibly intelligent and highly treat motivated which makes him a breeze to train. He is also very human focused and eager to please. He's been working on recall and shows great promise, with just a bit more training he will be an excellent off leash dog. Blue is going to be most successful with a very active family. A Mom or Dad who is looking for a running partner would be ideal. Blue is crate trained and though he is still pulling a bit on leash, he is mostly trained. He's a great size, not too big and easily managed. He is crate trained. Blue is a good boy who just wants to be where you are and he does pretty well with other dogs at his same energy level.' Adoption Process will require an application, homecheck, and an adoption fee. *Blue is currently located in Texas. He will not be transported to Oregon until he has been pre-adopted.
