About Ruby

Ruby is very shy and very submissive. She is a sweet and affectionate girl once she gets to know you a bit. She gets concerned about new situations so she will need someone that will have patience with her since her first reaction is to shut down if scared. Just in the short time she has been in a foster home, she has come a long way. She walks on a leash now and gets along with all of the dogs and seems to be afraid of the cats. She loves to be outside and plays well with the other dogs. She loves her food but doesn't guard it from the other dogs. Ruby is a medium sized girl, weighing 42 lbs. She is approximately 10 months old, so still a puppy. Ruby has been spayed, she has tested negative for heartworms, she is fully vaccinated, and she is microchipped. _________________________________________________________ We are a rescue in Mississippi and we travel to NY and CT once a month with our pre-adopted pets and meet with the adopters at a predetermined time and location. Visual breed identification is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
