About Jupiter

This tiny cutie is Jupiter! He is an 11 month old, long haired Chihuahua who weighs 5.12 pounds! Jupiter was surrendered to us along with his brother, Hercules. The two dogs are NOT bonded and do not need to be adopted together. They actually have a bit of brotherly rivalry and are better apart. Jupiter is a super sweet little guy! He loves to snuggle and to get lots of attention. He gives sweet little puppy kisses too! Jupiter has a lot of energy and loves to run and play with all the dogs in his foster home. He likely would be happiest with another small dogs play with. He's tiny though, so no big dogs for him. He also is not a good fit for small kids but he should be fine with older kids who are familiar with small dogs. He has not been around cats since we have had him. Jupiter walks on a leash, and is about 95% housebroken. While a fenced yard would be ideal for him, especially due to his small size and energy level, he would likely be okay without a fenced yard as long as somebody took him on walks of walks and made sure he got tons of playtime. He should definitely have an active family. Jupiter loves to sleep in the big bed all night curled up near his person. He has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up-to-date on shots, fecal tested, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. His neuter will be scheduled at one of our vets soon and is covered by the rescue.
