About Trixie

Trixie has been at the shelter for over 100 days. She has been in the shelter's care for every. single. day. that she's been here. Many of our adoptable dogs get breaks from the shelter in foster homes, but since Trixie needs to be the one and only pet in the home, it's taken her sometime to find that perfect adoptive (or foster) home. Despite having to sleep in a kennel every night, and hear dogs barking next to her everyday, she doesn't let that get her spirit down. Trixie is always so happy to greet staff. On her best days here she gets to hang out in the offices with staff members, playing with her toys and getting pets in between playtimes in the shelter's yard. We know that the best day in the shelter won't even compare to her days in a home, and we really hope she finds her forever soon. Trixie would love a mellow living situation where she can gather up her toys in her favorite spot, by her owners feet. She doesn't need long walks, just a yard or short outings to do her business everyday.
