About Al Poochino

Adoption Fee: $175
Spitz mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

We are raising funds to send Al to a trainer that specializes in his behaviors. Due to the cost of training, once complete, his adoption fee will increase. Intake Date: 5 Oct 2021 ----- Age At Intake: 4 yrs ----- Breed: spitz mix ----- Size: 15 lbs ----- Status: owner surrender for euth ----- Compatible with: dogs, cats, older children ----- Suitable for: home with fenced yard. Possible apartment with leashed exercise and a dog park for safe unleashed exercise ----- Medical/Behavioral Needs: severe fear aggression. Rehab case. Will need a patient and understanding owner. Food possession ----- Additional Notes: Al is named after a man that plays evil characters, because sometimes he does too. Don't let that smile fool you. This boy was surrendered to the vet to be euthanized because of aggression. And he can be MEAN. Fortunately, they saw through it and requested rescue assistance. Once Al gets to know you, he is a sweet guy, but if he doesn't, he is very fearful and ornery. He has charged and bitten a few times, but we have measures in place to be safe. Now that he has warmed up, he is your normal pup! We will be pursuing professional training for this guy once we raise the funds. He will overcome these issues we know, because we have seen it ourselves! We just have to get him further. Due to his coat, he will require regular grooming. He has done really well with the other dogs and cats too! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If interested in meeting and potentially adopting, please read the adoption requirements and complete the adoption application located at Once processed and approved a meet and greet can be scheduled and if a match an adoption can be finalized at that time. FBS standard adoption fee is $175. All residents are spayed/neutered unless not recommended by a veterinarian, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and treated for any known medical needs. Breeds are best guess. Housetraining is not guaranteed but crate training is worked on with all residents. A secure physically fenced yard is required. See Less
