About Luna Bella

Hi, my name is Luna and my birthday is January 8, 2019 making me just under 3 years old. I am looking for my forever home. My current family cannot keep me due to unforeseen some personal issues - they are extremely sad to see me leave so they are very committed to finding me the best home ever. My trainer taught me to sit, down, place, heal and here (come) and we were working on oust (release). Since I am only 32 months old, I still need my new family to work with me on all these commands. I am a smart and loving dog with energy. I like people and after a couple minutes I am good in a crowd. I may bark at strangers, but I become friendly after I sniff them a bit and know all is ok. I like some dogs and some cats. I grew up with an elderly pug and my best friend is a Boykin spaniel. I am not a fan of dog parks. I absolutely love balls and squeaky ones even better. I also love sticks - firewood is the best. I can show how strong I am carrying the firewood all over the yard. I have lots of energy and will need a family that likes activity and will spend time playing with me and/or going for walks. I am considered by some a special needs dog because I take a daily medicine. I was diagnosed with Atypical Addison disease. One small steroid pill keeps everything in check. With a little peanut butter and the pill on a finger and I am set. My perfect home would be with adults, older kids, maybe one other dog and no cats. Since I love to chase cars, I will need a large, fenced back yard or safe acreage so that I can run and get all my exercise. I do not have any food aggression with people, but I do not like to share my toys or food with other dogs. I am also good at the groomers. I love playing with the hose as you water the plants, and sometimes jump my highest chasing the water stream. I will be your best friend, stick by your side and show you unconditional love. Luna is AKA registered, spayed, current on all shots, crate trained and is very loved by her current owners.
