About EDIE

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BEFORE YOU RESPOND. EDIE was born in a foster's home. Her family came from a horrible situation. There were 10 cats saved. 7 of them were pregnant (one of them being EDIE's mom). They were all living in a yard in a garage in Moreno Valley, Ca. The moms were all named after SUPER HEREOS. It seemed fitting since they were all basically surviving and being fed scrapes, fighting other cats and dogs. They were living off a dangerous street where people were actually poisoning the cats there. So EDIE has never known the street life. She has lived a nice pampered life. As you can see in the pictures, she is loved and spoiled. EDIE is a most beautiful kitten with the most beautiful heart. She is friendly, sweet and really fun. She loves to run fast and play hard. She was a cute white tipped tail and a beautiful white mark on her nose. EDIE will immediately purr if petted and loves all cats. She doesn't mind dogs. She loves to look out the sliding glass door. She is super excited to meet new family because she has a lot of love to give. It will take her a bit to get comfortable. EDIE is a DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / TABBY-TIGER MIX. She is about 8 months old and is good with cats and dogs. She has never been around children. EDIE is currently at Petsmart in Murrieta, Ca off Madison Avenue. MARCH 2022: With all the needed social distancing...we are still doing adoptions. We can do meet and greets BY APPOINTMENT ONLY at any of the PETSMARTS listed below. But steps 1. thru 4. of the ADOPTION PROCESS must be done first. VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to do meet and greets...not PETSMART employees. Gas donations always appreciated! ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Request Application: By Email / In Person / Fill Out Online Form 2. Submit Application 3. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview 4. Will be notified of Approved Application 5. Meet and Greet with Kitty 6. Sign Adoption Contract 7. Pay Adoption Fee 8. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED) 9. Take the Kitty Home ************************ NO OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS *********************** You can obtain an application one of 3 ways. The 1st is to physically go to the PETSMART where the pet is located (or the others listed below) and request one from our volunteers. VOLUNTEERS are only there 9 am to 12 pm (Monday thru Saturday) and 10 am to 1 pm on Sunday. Once filled out please return to the VOLUNTEER. You may ask the volunteer if you can briefly meet the cat / kitten. But please be aware some of them might not be comfortable to let you meet the pet due to COVID. PETSMART locations where available applications for WORKIN' WHISKERS can be picked up: PETSMART in Murrieta, Ca off Madison Avenue in Hemet, Ca off Florida Avenue on Palm Desert, Ca off Monterey Avenue The 2nd way is to request an application. The information you fill out on THIS website is NOT the application. An actual application CAN be requested and sent by email . Email us to request an application or ask questions not answered for you in THIS ad. The 3rd way (THE BEST AND FASTEST WAY) is to apply on OUR ONLINE APPLICATION form. Meet and greets will take place at the Petsmart location where the cat is or any of the 3 Petsmart locations listed if the cat is at a foster / rescue home. ********** PLEASE NO CALLS. NO ONE IS AVAILABLE TO TAKE CALLS ********** If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets. Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption. We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. If we haven't reached out be patient. We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens. So, we do not do DISCOUNTS.
