About Jax

Australian Shepherd
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

We rescued Jax from a family in Texas that couldn't keep him any longer. After several months of training he is not getting any better with our cats and so we have decided to find him a more suitable home. - 46 lbs - extremely well behaved with some minor anxiety like whining in crate before he settles & panting during fireworks/scared of loud noises. - LOVES children but would do best with older ones as he has nipped trying to grab food out of hands. - amazing recall and learns quickly - Good with most other dogs, not great in dog park situations. We've taken him and worked with impulse control but he still wants to herd. Would be best suited in home where he is an only dog. - No Cats! -He needs a home that can give him lots of attention, take him on walks/play with him etc his love language is touch. He's totally motivated by attention + affection (& balls %BD'%BD| & food lol) He would be over the moon if he was allowed to sleep in bed with you but is happy to sleep on the floor/crate & won't get on furniture without being invited.
