About Hoku

Hoku is a 3.5 year old male (fixed) Australian Shepherd. He is very friendly with our other Australian Shepherd dog but very aggressive towards all other dogs. He is a very sweet and attentive dog with adults inside the house but outside he is very protective of our property. He has had aggressive dog training and responds well to both a bark collar and a shock collar. He does have a bite history (he bit a neighbor who reached over our fence to pet Hoku while he was actively barking and he also bit our 1-year-old because Hoku was in his kennel and had no where to go when our child crawled toward him in the kennel). Hoku would do best being the only dog in a working situation and may need to constantly have his bark or shock collar on. We will only consider new homes where Hoku will be the only dog, adults or adult children, plenty of room for him to run and protect.
