Are you ready for an active playful pup? Darla, 8-12 months old, has gone from a scared e-listed shelter pup that now shows us her out-going disposition and her intelligence that she keeps skillfully hidden behind her ditzy nature. She is the most beautiful red color with a weirdly adorable corkscrew tail. She also has an overbite that's pretty dang cute. She shows pro-social behavior with other dogs in regards to appropriate signaling for play time, due to her young age she does lack awareness to give other dogs their own space while they are eating or sleeping. Darla would be best as an only dog or with another playful dog who can show her some confidence. Darla is super affectionate; she would love nothing more than to cuddle, her current foster says she loves hanging out in the hammock with me in lieu of a couch or bed and will demand that she join you in the shower. Darla is taking applications for an active home and a family with no small children, as she is still a pup; can be slightly nippy and chewy in a playful manner, who can commit a good amount of time towards enrichment for Darla, either through training or agility. She will need slow introductions to social situations not due to fears of aggression but because she is easily overwhelmed, but once conditioned would be a dog you can take anywhere in public.
