Lucy is a 15 month old pitbull who was rescued by my sister-in-law's friend. She has been living in a kennel its entire life. She persuaded the owners to let her find a new home for the dog. My sister-in-law is helping her friend out by letting the dog stay at her house because the other woman works as a groomer full-time. I brought my dog to my sister-in-law's house to assess her and everything was fine when we were inside but when we were outside Lucy attacked my dog pretty frequently. Additionally she is obsessed with biting the front of your shoes and becomes very aggressive/guarding of treats such as a large dog bone. I was able to walk her which really meant redirecting her constantly. She has no idea what it means to be on a lead but I took her to a pond and she absolutely loved being in the water. I was able to get her to sit while using treats but my sister-in-law is physically unable to walk the dog exercise the dog or control the dog. This dog really is very sweet but definitely needs professional help before being adopted.
