About Dua Lipa (Shyla)

'Pop sensation Dua Lipa in the house! Hey there! My name is Dua Lipa (but most of my friends just call me Shyla.) I'm a 1 year old girl that is looking for a fresh start and I think that we could be the perfect match! I came to SVASC when my family was forced to move and couldn't take me with them. It took me a little bit to find my groove at the shelter, but now that I know what's going on, I'm the happiest, wiggliest gal that you could ever meet. I am an energetic pup and would really thrive in a home with a nice yard to romp in or with a family that loves to go for walks and hikes. I do need some work on my manners, as I am pretty strong on the leash and can be very jumpy when excited, but I'm young and so eager to please, so that shouldn't be hard with some positive reinforcement and structure. In my previous home, I was living with kiddos and could probably do that again. I'm friendly as can be! Just keep in mind that I am a big girl and don't always remember my size, so I may be a bit much for very young children or kids who aren't used to large dogs. I also lived with another dog and have been part of play groups at the shelter; I would love to find a home with another dog that can be my playmate, but it definitely isn't a requirement; I wouldn't complain about getting all of the attention either.
