About Chloe

Corgi / Australian Shepherd
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Hi, my name is Chloe! I am only about 2 years old, but I have already had to move to a couple different homes and I really, really want to have a forever home of my own! I try really hard to be a good girl with all my 44 pounds, and I'm very good with my potty manners and sitting for treats, but my foster mommy says I'm a 'diamond in the ruff' and that I need someone with skills and patience who knows all about 'positive reinforcement' (or are willing to learn). I know that I super duper love the cheese treats she gives me when I sit nicely for her, or when I decide not to chase something that looks so much fun to chase (you know, cats, chickens, cars, delivery vehicles, the mail carrier car). I love it when my foster parents give me scratches on the neck, or let me roll over and give me belly rubs, too; sometimes, I even reward them with some wrestle play, too! I want you to know that strangers make me very nervous, and children really stress me out. I like to get to know people really well and not be around a lot of new people all the time. I will warm up to most new people after a couple of visits and plenty of cheese (or chicken? or yummy carrots!), but it does take me a while. My foster mom says I need to live in a quiet neighborhood, where I won't get stressed out by the neighbors or lots of activity, because lots of people coming and going make me nervous and I will sound the alarm with my loud booming voice. I have such a great bark to keep you safe! I enjoy going for walks a lot and will need someone who will take me out walking regularly, but I don't need a ton of exercise, just enough to help me relax and not have so much 'prey drive'. I will usually walk well, but I am proud of how strong I am and will try my best to get those super loud, larger vehicles that drive fast (or a bunny, bird, neighborhood cat, bicycle....), so you have to be strong to keep me safe, too. I loved my last adopted mommy, she was so nice, and gave me belly rubs and bought me squeaky toys and nice treats. Unfortunately, I was not nice to the cat that lived there, or the tiny dog, so I had to come back to my foster home. I have been good with the dogs in my foster home (after I got to know them), and even enjoy playing with the puppy here, so I think I might enjoy dogs my same size or a little bit bigger, as long as they are respectful and don't get annoyed when I am being protective of my area. I have a couple of other quirks that my foster family can tell you all about, but if I sound like the right Corgi/Shepherd mix to light up your quiet home, please send an application to Wonder Pets Rescue right away! Chloe is spayed, microchipped, wormed, and current on routine, bordatella, and rabies vaccinations. Her adoption donation is $400.
