About Nox

Nox is a 1.5 year old GSD/Aussie/Lab mix. We got him as a puppy from a farm family, although we were informed later by the vet that we were lied to about his age. Rather than the 4 months we were told, they estimated him at having been closer to 4-5 weeks of age. We hoped that since he was a second dog, things would turn out ok, but as time has gone on, he has only grown more anxious and reactive despite multiple intervention efforts and aggressively (in terms of intensity, not violence) resource guards and herds me. He shows signs of moderate to severe separation anxiety, and will not listen to me, nor am I able to redirect his behavior. This, combined with his growing reactivity especially toward our next door neighbor, is making it increasingly difficult to keep him and increasingly unsafe for me to try to manage him. He could be a great companion for someone emotionally compatible with him, but I am no longer able to keep him.
