About Jasmine

RESCUE ALERT Foster, Foster-to-Adopt asap! Jasmine LOVES being with other dogs and she LOVES the great outdoors. Her happy place is frolicking outside with friends and could do this all day, everyday! Jasmine is a one-year old spayed and UTD female Plott Hound mix (though not for certain) located in Pembroke, MA. SHe's a lovely brindle who is sponsored by our friends at Buddy & Friends Animal Rescue in Kingston, MA. Nicknamed Jazz, she was picked up after living as a stray in Tennessee. Having little experience with humans and living indoors until recently, she is afraid of people and being contained or kenneled for too long. She is in a foster home but attends doggie day care six days per week and LOVES it. Jasmine has become attached to her foster mom; however, the foster dad is away from home a lot for work and every time he comes home, Jasmine digresses. The environment isn't best for her progress and to prevent her from being returned south we are desperately trying to find her a safe and appropriate home. An experienced patient handler of dogs like Jasmine is required. The foster or adopter must be home on very regular hours and be home much of the time. Jasmine MUST HAVE at least one balanced dog in the home, the more the merrier so this playful young girl may have many role models. Jasmine still has some feral ways but she is super loveable to her friends and has shown she can become close to a woman. In fact, she's only been handled by women from the beginning so a female handler is ideal. She also requires a secure FENCED yard as she is a flight risk. She has some guarding of the foster mom who was the first person she ever attached to. We have resources and trainers to assist you.
