About Bella

Bella is 4 years old and being fostered in Dade City, Fla. Bella is a very smart girl but can be hard headed. She is an alpha dog who will sometimes try to show her dominance with other dogs. She plays well with dogs as long as they don't challenge her or try to be alpha. Bella is crate trained but will bark when crated sometimes if she wants attention. She knows some basic commands, is house trained and rides fine in the car. I think Bella has a lot of potential with the right person. Keeping her busy and exercised is what she needs to help her thrive and succeed. She does have an off switch and settles down at night nicely. Bella was surrendered twice to a shelter due to lack of knowledge of the breed so for those reasons we do not recommend a home with young children so kids over 12 years of age are preferred. She will need boundaries and a strong leader as well as lots of love. We prefer she go to a home with a fenced yard to give her the space to run and play vs a dog park environment. She is spayed, heartworm negative, up to date on her vaccinations and on heartworm/flea/tick prevention.
