OSCAR is a courtesy posting. OSCAR is currently in Tallahassee, FL. Help with transport to an approved home can be arranged. If you are interested in adopting OSCAR, please email Tisha at [email protected] Sadly, OSCARS's owner recently passed from Covid. OSCAR has been staying with a family friend since his owner was first hospitalized in May. We are trying to find a forever home for OSCAR, since his owner won't be returning. Here is OSCAR's story as written by a family member- OSCAR is a Texas Lacy who was purchased at 8 weeks. He spent 4 years outdoors tethered with another dog. He was adopted by my brother when his owner died. OSCAR became my brother's emotional support dog for the next 2 years. My brother passed away in August and OSCAR is currently being fostered with the hopes of getting a permanent home. OSCAR is loving and doesn't have any issues with aggression. He hasn't been around other dogs in 2 years and could be reintroduced. He loves being the only dog. He loves all people and could be around older children since he's a big dog. He probably is not good with cats. He's a fairly low energy dog meaning he will play or walk but then he's ready for a nap. He needs to go to a home where he can be snuggled.
