Meet Captain. He's believed to be a black and tan and Doberman mix. But that is what we think. He was rescued from a landfill where someone either dumped him or he was lost. He tried to get into the vehicle with a lady and she got scared and called the Animal Control. There was no signs of aggression. She just didn't like any dogs. Captain has been with our rescue for going on 3 years now and believed to be between 4 and 5 years old. He is a gentleman. He doesn't like to potty in his kennel and he doesn't like to get wet. lol. He is great indoors and outdoors but he will do a bit of counter surfing if you aren't on guard and he's very tall so he can reach the counters easily.. He's great on a leash and good with people and kids after he gets to know the kids. Not suggested for toddlers only as he could knock them down. He has never been known to be aggressive with any one or anything except cats and motorcycles. He gets crazed when he hears a motorcycle. Unfortunately we don't know why. And he loves to go for rides but is very vocal when he's riding. Lol. He's very happy boy. As you can tell by the picture you can take him anywhere as he is very easy to walk and does well even in shops and stores. We've had several people contact us about Captain but only one lady was serious about him and a week before she was to pick him up she had a stroke and is still partially paralyzed. This sweet boy deserves a home and a family. And he'd make a retired or veteran a great companion. All he wants is love. And a few treats here and there.. lol.. Please consider adopting Captain if you are looking for a larger breed.. He's not perfect, but he's awesome. He's smart and very trainable. I have many other pics of him both by himself and with other dogs as well. Just send me an email and I would be happy to share with you.. Located in West Tn.
