About Brody

Adoption Fee: $25
Australian Shepherd
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

Brody is a male mini Australian Shepherd and is around 5-6 years old. I've had him since he was around 10 weeks old. He was the last of his litter. Brody loves to play fetch, have his belly rubbed, and is a very sweet boy! He is crate trained and only had an accident in the house when we had a food mix up. He doesn't like the water but he likes to drink it! He can sit, wait, and will bring his ball back to you to throw over and over again! Brody has been very temperamental since day one. He doesn't like storms or loud noises. He will hide in his crate or a corner somewhere. Brody has lived with other dogs. His brother, also a mini Aussie, was VERY dominate and bossed Brody around. Brody would submit to him 99% of the time but sometimes it resulted in a fight. He's also lived with a male Coon hound who is very docile and submissive. He and Brody have been buddies for the last 2 years and have never had an issue. He had a brother briefly that was another mini Aussie that was fostered for a brief time but his personality was too strong for Brody and there were numerous fights that resulted in permanent separation of the 2. After that, Brody has not been introduced to any other dogs. Brody can NOT be around cats, chickens, or any other small animals. He has killed 2 cats in the last 2 years. One being 2 days ago. That brings me to this plea for adoption. Brody is very sweet and needs to be an only dog with someone who will give him the space to run and catch a ball everyday, that is cat free, and kid free (he's never been around kids smaller than 12 years old). I'm in a situation where I can no longer keep Brody for the safety of my only surviving cat and because I'm moving to a new home in a neighborhood with lots of kids and other dogs. I'm also a paramedic and work 12 hours a day. He doesn't get the play time he deserves. Brody deserves to live his best life! I don't want to drop him at a shelter because that would only cause him more stress and potential to be put down anyway due to being aggressive. It could also miss his opportunity to find the perfect owner for him. Please help me find Brody a good and safe home for him.
