AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! 'Howdy y'all , Hawkeye here. I am 1 1/2 years young and by young I mean I've got more energy than the power plant! Open that kennel door and I'm out of there like a cheetah chasing an antelope. I like to run and run and run until I just can't run anymore. I will literally even run right over top your small kids without a care in the world; therefore I will do best in a home with older kids. Dog friends are the best! If they can't keep up to my speed it's ok I'll just keep coming back to play with them on my laps. Say you want me to stop running for a bit and you need a way to get my attention. T-R-E-A-T! Bring one of those fine morsels out and I will be your best friend for life! Nothing is better than all things edible. I will sit and I will match your every step with a treat in your hand. My foster mom says I'm a good boy for being house trained and thinks that I could potentially learn many more tricks. Being outside is my happy place. We take applications online and are scheduling individual adoptions in the Waynesboro, VA area during the pandemic. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
