About Elvis

He's a great, easy dog, we adopted him from a shelter 3 years ago so I don't know anything about his past. He's about 60lbs, a german shepherd mixed with something smaller, maybe a pit. But he loves sweaters in the winter and will sleep in his own bed or wherever you let him. He is low maintenance, he can go on walks but prefers to be sleeping inside in the heat/AC. Very affectionate, Good with older children. A total couch potato, just likes to lay around and get pets. In good shape for his age, which we think is around 13, no known medical issues. He is not friendly with other dogs. He really just doesn't like when other dogs approach him, even just to sniff his rear end, he snarls and shows his teeth to make them go away. Intolerant is probably a good word. We're having a baby and he's not good with toddlers from what I saw. We had him meet a toddler and he has the same reaction, (no teeth but growling, ect.) When she got in his face, any children above his face height seems to be fine, he's just a cranky old man I think.�%A0 He's housebroken and will definitely let you know when he needs to go, he does jump if he has to go bad. We live in the woods so we just let him out the door and he ALWAYS comes right back, he has no desire to leave his climate controlled home. He knows sit, and if he's in the mood, he can stay and go to his bed. He's very affectionate and wherever you are in the house is where he'll flop. And he does snore.
