Copper is shy at first but warms up quickly and seeks attention. He is a sweet boy once he comes around and is able to be affectionate but also does his own thing when he wants to. Copper has done well with adults and staff members. He will need a home that understands he does not like to be woken up or pet while he is sleeping. He may have some other boundaries and his new family will need to learn and respect these while working with him at his own pace. Copper has done well with other dogs but can be a little too much for small dogs. He'd do best with dogs his size or bigger and will need to meet them before adoption. Copper is a smart boy that is housebroken, kennel trained, leash trained, and knows sit, stay, and come! He will need a home with a securely fenced in yard as he is used to having one and running around whenever he wants to.
