About Ginger

This animal is available to licensed rescue groups only. Please do not enquire unless with a licensed rescue group. Ginger is mostly a very sweet girl but is food/toy aggressive when other animals or children are around. She would be great in a home as an only dog with no small children. I am rehoming her because she snapped at my 6 year old grandson and nipped his nose. She has also snapped at our senior Great Dane. She takes daily medicine for thyroid but it's very inexpensive. She is crate trained and house broken. She has some anxiety with loud noises but is not destructive. She should be kept in a crate when nobody is home. I would give her crate and bed to whoever can give her a really good home. She is current on everything and is heart worm negative. I just can't take a chance on her biting my grandson again. It was entirely unprovoked. Thankfully it wasn't too bad, but she would definitely be better off without other dogs, cats, or kids. I have been told she is a full blooded Plott Hound, but I found her when she was a puppy, so I'm not entirely sure. She was an extremely sick puppy when I found her. Someone dumped her in the alley by my house when it was very cold outside. I was just going to get her healthy and find a home for her, but that was 3 1/2 years ago.
