Marlon is a 10 month old Neopolitan/English mastiff mix who will be a very big boy when fully grown (est 150-180 lbs). He is a beautiful dog. We are looking to rehome him with someone that has experience with mastiffs, and managing some dominant and guarding behaviors, preferably to a home with no children. PROS-If you are looking for a large, cuddly dog that would follow you around all day, loves the couch and curling up next to you Marlon fits the bill. He is fully house trained, and has completed a two week board and train program with an ecollar, and knows all commands. He loves other dogs but some don't like him because he can play a little rough. He is also crate trained, and loves his Kong with peanut butter. He does not bark a lot but when guarding the home sounds intimidating. You will not need to worry about break ins. CONS- lots of drool %BD%BD%BD%BD, gassy, is opportunistic to chewing things other his toys/bones sometimes, and loves to shred paper. He is still a teenager! He will guard your home and is weary of people he does not know. Introductions will need to be slow, he nipped at a guest and when they approached him and reached out to pet him. He has growled at other guests too, and unfortunately many are the kids friends. Once he knows you, he is lovable and sweet and a really great dog. We are rehoming him because he would do much better in a home where he gets consistent feedback about what behavior is acceptable, and what is not. He is receiving mixed messages here and attempting to be the dominant one, especially around the kids. He can be an amazing dog..
