About Yara

Yara is a 5yr old female Yorkie who weighs around 14 lbs. We rescued her from a puppy mill. These dogs have lived in a 2ft x 7ft plywood and wire box their entire lives. She still needs to be treated like a puppy by her new family, as she has a huge learning curve on what life is like for a house dog. She needs to learn to walk on a leash, that it is fun to ride in a car, how to play with toys, that she is to come when called, and she even has to learn that she has a name! Yara has never been called by a name before, so she will have to learn to listen to her owner so she can learn what it is she needs to do. We do not know if they are potty trained or not. We do know they are doggie door trained, and prefer to go out to potty, but they are still being kept in a small space here at our rescue kennel. Yara is great with all people, cats and other dogs. Older Kids would be best. MUST HAVE FENCED YARD TO ADOPT. Surprisingly, despite of her miserable life over there, she hasn't lost her love and trust towards humans. She is sweet, loving and submissive. Zara likes to be around her human family and would follow you around the house. She is crate trained, doesn't chew on things and is eager to please. She is spayed, microchipped, had her teeth cleaned, has been treated for heartworms and is ready to go! Her adoption fee is $575.
