About Gretal

**PLEASE READ GRETAL'S BIO THOROUGHLY BEFORE INQUIRING. THANK YOU** This beautiful girl is Gretal, an 8 month old, 37lb Shepherd mix. We rescued Gretal when a neighbor let us know that the owner was about to throw the puppy out into the street that night. We rushed down and had him surrender her to us. We got her to our vet and she got a clean bill of health. We are looking for a home with a safe and secure yard for her and owners who are dog savvy, Shepherd savvy is a plus! Gretal definitely needs another young and sweet dog in the home. She cannot be an 'only' dog. Owners that are active who like to run, take walks, and hike would be best for this puppy. Gretal needs a home that will incorporate some home cooking into a high quality kibble. We do not want her in a home where she will be crated. She is such a great little girl, but will come to you a little scared, understandably after all she has been through, but if you give her the love, time, and patience she needs....she will open up and show you what a great pup she is! We only adopt in Southern California as an in person home check and trial period are required.
