Diana is a sweet, very gentle senior lady who was clearly a beloved pet at one point in her life. We have no idea how this darling senior gal wound up as a 'stray' at the Humane Society, but being a senior with some medical needs we were asked to take her. She was already spayed, but desperately needed a dental, as her rotten teeth were practically falling out of her mouth. Her bloodwork showed some kidney disease, we are not sure if that is related to the severe infection in her mouth, or if it's chronic. Our vet recommends rechecking kidney values 6 months post dental (which is in 4 months--we will cover that cost at our vet) She also has some arthritis and takes supplements to help. We estimate her to be about 14 years old. All we know is Diana needs a soft warm place to call home for her golden years--however long or short that may be. She is on prescription food for kidney health, which we will continue to provide as long as she is with us. Diana tolerates other dogs, but she doesn't like it when they invade her space. A well mannered dog who leaves her alone would be fine. She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and fully vetted.
