Gracie (~DOB June 2020) was living outside with her 4 three-month-old kittens and another outdoor cat in Zion under a deck this 4th of July weekend. The homeowner has been feeding the family since Christmas 2020. Gracie was so friendly she didn't need to be trapped, simply picked up and put in a carrier. This means she was probably someone's cat that they abandoned in Zion. She was taken in for vetting and received a clean bill of health on 7/8/2021. She is estimated to be 1-2 years old. When Gracie got home from her spay, she was so relaxed and happy to be in a cat bed that her foster mom realized that Gracie needed to be adopted and placed in a forever home. Gracie is outgoing, playful and likes to be petted. She enjoys looking out the window and even has jumped on her fosters lap for pets. She likes to purr and rub on her foster mom's legs. Gracie is an outgoing cat and will make a great pet. We thought adoption would be the end to Gracie's story but then her mother/sister died following a c-section with 8 babies, While Gracie's milk is gone, her mothering instincts are not. She's taken on the cleaning and cuddling of 4 babies. So Gracie will be available for adoption in about 6 weeks and she could bring one of her babies along if you'd consider a pair. Paid adoption $175.
