About Jag

Jag is a border collie -shepherd mix thought to be approximately 6 years old. He was adopted from a rescue shelter in northern California, prior to which we suspect he had been abused. He loves to walk and is very good on a leash (a real pleasure to walk with), playful, is not aggressive, gets along with other dogs (and cats), and is very loving and sweet with all family members. He has however displayed behaviors - specifically nipping certain non-household members in the ankle/back of leg in certain situations - that are a problem given our current lifestyle and living situation which no longer allows us to provide Jag with the level of attention required. Adopting Jag could be very rewarding because he is a great companion and extremely loving toward his family, however he requires an experienced dog owner who has the resources to continue working with him to manage his undesirable behaviors.
