About Sally

HURRICANE IDA displaced foster dog. *Sally is in need of Sponsors/donations to help with heart worm treatment* Please scroll all the way down for info. on donating/sponsoring Sally. Sally's story: Thank you for your interest in Sally. She is still available. Sally is a sweetheart and gets along with other dogs and also cats. She is approximately 2-3 years old, spayed, up-to-date with vaccinations, and microchipped. Sally tested positive for heart worms and was scheduled to begin heart worm treatment 9-9-21. Her listing originally stated that applications were being taken for Sally, and she would be available upon completion of heart worm treatment. The original listing also stated that she is currently being fostered in Louisiana, with transport available to the New England area. Heart worm treatment plans have abruptly changed. Sally was being fostered in my home in south Louisiana. Our family home took a direct hit from hurricane Ida and has been severely damaged. My family and I (along with 18 foster animals), evacuated for hurricane Ida, so Sally is still with us, and is safe. Sally's rescue group facility and Sally's vet's clinic have also been severely damaged. It is uncertain when Sally will begin heart worm treatment, as all of our future plans are uncertain. Transport is also uncertain. Sally is still available if arrangements could be made to undergo heart worm treatment with an approved adopter (familiar with the heart worm treatment process & cost), and if transport could be arranged. We are currently accepting desperately needed sponsors/donations for Sally (and other foster animals) being cared for by HOPE for Animals, in south Louisiana.
