About Blanche

Blanche is the sweetest girl! She loves cuddles, snuggles and to be close to her human on the couch and in bed. Very chill and likes to sleep most of the day curled up next to her human's desk as he works from home. Her ideal new home would be one where she is the only pet and there are no kids under the age of 12. Blanch has never bitten a person but she does exhibit resource guarding of food, space and people. Food is fairly easy to manage and she responds well to commands to sit, stay and go get it when being fed. The biggest challenges are space and people. She is protective of her bed and can be easily startled, resulting in a growl and snap. She guards random people and there is little predictability. The saddest part is that this guarding presents itself towards kids. Rarely will she guard food, people or space from adults. Blanche will thrive in a home where she is the only pet and there are no small children. While she has a structured home life, it is managed to minimize alone time with kids (3 and 6).
