About Rookie

Rookie is a male Boxer/Lab mix with a big heart and a sweet loving disposition. This rescued stray adores people and is very friendly and affectionate. He's big on sloppy kisses! This handsome hunk weighs fifty-seven pounds and is estimated to be three years old. This active large pup is the perfect companion for an adult or family with older children. Rookie is a strong boy and it does take some strength to handle him on a leash. He has a pleasing personality and is a joy to be around. Rookie keeps a clean kennel and appears to be housebroken. A fenced in backyard will give him a safe place to run and play. Rookie loves playing outdoor games like fetch and tug of war. He would make a great trail buddy too. Rookie has had limited contact with the other pups at the shelter but done well with those he's met. If you currently own a young playful pup, we can arrange a playdate to see if they are compatible.
