About Bumblebee

Meet Bumblebee! He's just over 60 lbs and about 2.5 years old. We are looking for a shepherd savvy home who might have another dog his size who can show him the ropes. He does have some leash reactivity towards other dogs so placing him in an environment where he won't be bombarded with a lot of stimulus would be ideal. He has great potty habits, but needs help walking on a leash- he likes to pull. He's been good with the 2.5 year old boy in his foster home, but knocks him over when trying to play and gets mouthy when excited. An all adult household would be best or one with older kids who have been around large, energetic dogs. He is just a big puppy that needs lots of exercise and someone to really put time into working with him. We'd love to see him get into dog sports! He already knows sit, paw, lay down, and come. He is very treat motivated and ready to learn! Adopters must live within 1.5 hour driving distance from Romeoville, IL. Reference checks, vet checks and home visit required. We do not do same day adoptions. We will require Bumblebee to attend training classes with A Sound Beginning, which we will sponsor. Application, reference checks, and home visit required.
