BEAR Tularosa Shelter, Tularosa, New Mexico Bear is a very handsome young man listed as a chow mix at the Tularosa, New Mexico shelter, but looks to be part border collie, and his tongue is actually pink, so he may be another spitz breed mix. The shelter describes him as super friendly and a playful big bundle of fur, and believes he is about 1 year old. He has been waiting for someone to save him since April! The shelter said Bear is very energetic, so more like a border collie might be than a chow. They estimate his weight to be approximately 45-50 lbs so he is a nice size.
