About Charlie

Senior dog. We think Charlie is about 10 (cockapoos live on average until 15). He is a larger sized cockapoo from what I have heard - about 33lbs (healthy weight, not obese). Charlie wants to be your best friend. He likes to lay around but is also up for an adventure! We think he is about 10 years old. Cockapoos on average live to be 15. Charlie loves car rides, boat rides, walks, affection, but mostly just being with his owner. He loves laying on things that smell like his owners and cuddling. He would love someone that let him on the couch but is trained right now not to. He thrives in a calm environment where he is the only dog and is with adults (no young children). He was fully vaccinated about 4 years ago. Cockapoos are hypoallergenic and shed minimally. In the summers he is prone to hot spots but can be helped/reduced with over the counter products and keeping his hair shorter. He does get a little anxious with storms but calming chewables seem to help. Our home currently has 3 young children and is not a place he is thriving. He has unpredictably nipped the children. Other times you can find him wanting to lick them. We think it is just too much for him sometimes. He makes a GREAT companion. We are truly are looking for the right fit and want to see Charlie go to a home he will be adored. Potty trained - He is excellent. Crate trained - He has not been in one in a home environment Behavior at Groomer: Excellent. Anyone interested in Charlie must be willing to drive as I am unable to travel right now.
