Axel is a big boy with a big heart. He just wants to be a lap dog and get belly rubs all day long. He love walks and hiking. This sweet pup deserves a home where he will have lots of attention and a big yard to play in. His current home is very small and his parent now have two small children , which leaves little time for the attention he deserves. Axel has developed several allergies and suffers from severe skin issues. His owners have tried several medications that have helped some, but because of his size and dosage requirements, have been unable to keep up with the expense of visits and routine med refills. Axel has lost several patches of fur on his belly and ribs, leaving behind dry scaly skin. His constant scratching has made both him and his owners very unhappy. Axel comes from a single-dog home, but the last time he was around other dogs, his temperament was mixed. He seems to do better with smaller dogs. He's very uncertain of medium/large dogs, particularly intact males. He's never been around cats. He has recently gotten aggressive towards small children. Axel loves walks but isn't courteous on a leash. He pulls since he was never on one on a regular basis. He is crate trained and will come with two large crates. He also has a microchip. Axel has a lot of life and love to give, but has become very anxious in his current home and is in need of a new companion as soon as possible.
