Playful, pint-sized at just under 10 lbs., and packed with personality! That's Peter! But Peter is also a work in progress, and he's going to need a dog-savvy, patient family to help him reach his full potential. This 1-year-old rat terrier mix was rescued from an environment where he was living in a chicken coop, so it's no surprise that he can be quite mistrustful of new people and novel situations. If he's pushed beyond his limits, he will nip, so he needs a home with a fenced yard where he can feel safe and one without young children, who would not understand Peter's need for space and gentle interactions. He would very much enjoy (and gain confidence from) having another small playful canine playmate. Peter is still working on house-training since it wasn't one of the courses offered back at the chicken coop. Wanna help Pete on his path to becoming a perfectly awesome pup?
